A project of Italian designer Alessandra Baldereschi, known for her exploration of the secret language of flowers in precious objects, these vintage-inspired coasters are a reminder of the forgotten traditions of high quality, artisan Chinese production. Each coaster is an intricate work of art, forming patterns from folded straw sown into various floral compositions. The coasters offer an enchanting mix of high-contrast, warm colors, each accented by a signature ceramic frog charm. Entirely handmade using all natural materials, the coasters have a surprising amount of heft to them – they’re thick enough to protect your tables from hot beverages and absorbent enough to soak up a bit of moisture too. Each coaster is unique, but they are all roughly the same size. Approximately 5″ across. Made of straw. Sold as a set.
