A project of Italian designer Alessandra Baldereschi, known for her exploration of the secret language of flowers in precious objects, this vintage-inspired hot pad is a reminder of the forgotten tradition of high quality, artisan Chinese production. Forming patterns from folded straw into a floral composition, the finished piece is an intricate work of art that can withstand the high temperatures of dishes straight from the oven. The Geranium trivet is decorated with happy red flowers, surrounded by their characteristic lobed leaves. Entirely handmade using all natural materials, the woven design is embellished with a single ceramic frog charm- a signature feature of the Florigraphie Collection.
