Catrina Sugar Skull Doll- Day of the Dead

Sugar skulls, or calaveras de azúcar in Spanish, are decorations used to adorn altars during Day of the Dead celebrations.  In Mexico, the Dia de Los Muertos holiday is where the lives of loved ones who have passed are celebrated with offerings, food, and drink- we’re choosing to celebrate with this over-the-top Day of the Dead sugar skull doll!  Catrina is a glamorously ghoulish diva fully decked out for the celebration in clothing inspired by the artwork of Frida Kahlo!  She’s wearing a floor length black gown with a white and magenta fabric shawl draped over her shoulders.  She is standing on a colorful collection of skull flowers that match the floral embellishments on her wide brimmed hat.  Made of resin and fabric.  This fine collectible features hand-decorated embellishments.  Approximately 21″ high.  Sold individually.
