The first step is admitting you have an art collector’s problem! Addiction is an original work of art by PHAG PHounder, Jason Crook. This small, but vibrant original is as much an exploration of shape as it is color. The Addiction original art is framed in a bold green frame with a white mat. A departure from Crook’s traditional acrylic paint medium, this piece is drawn in colored pencil. The subject matter reinforces just how difficult it is to put a label on the array of creations from this self-taught artist. The subjects of his works are limited only by his imagination; his art frequently fuses abstract ideas with elements of popular culture. Having studied color theory briefly during the early ’90s, his palette is both bright and vast. Crook’s works, however varied, maintain a consistently high level of visual appeal, and his use of color in combination with intricate patterns can only be described as fascinating. This work is no exception! Framed colored pencil on paper. Image area is approximately 5″ x 7″. Total size is approximately 9″ x 11″. Sold individually.
