Beauty is… All the colors of the rainbow- at least that’s the perspective presented in this original work of art by PHAG PHounder, Jason Crook. This small, but vibrant original is an exploration in both space and color, set in a metallic gold frame. A departure from Crook’s traditional acrylic paint medium, this piece is painted in watercolor, reinforcing how difficult it is to put a label on the array of creations from this self-taught artist. The subjects of his works are limited only by his imagination; his art frequently fuses abstract ideas with elements of popular culture. Having studied color theory briefly during the early ’90s, his palette is both bright and vast. Crook’s works, however varied, maintain a consistently high level of visual appeal, and his use of color in combination with intricate patterns can only be described as fascinating. This work is no exception! Framed watercolor on paper. Image area is approximately 5″ x 7″. Total size is approximately 8″ x 10″. Sold individually.
