Whoever said heartbreak can’t be beautiful hasn’t seen our kintsugi anatomical broken heart vase!  Also known as kintsukuroi, or golden repair, the Japanese art of kintsugi involves repairing broken pottery by mending the areas of breakage with urushi lacquer dusted or mixed with precious metals such as gold, silver, or platinum.  It is an art form that, philosophically, treats breakage and repair as part of the history of an object, rather than something to disguise.  So, what better objet d’art to sculpt in this form than a human heart?  Part of our popular Love in Bloom Collection from Italian designer MArcantonio RAimondi MAlerba, this anatomical heart vase includes multiple arteries and veins that vary in width and positioning, allowing you to create an eclectic flower arrangement.  Meticulously sculpted from a mix of white and colorfully printed pieces of glazed porcelain ceramic, each joined by 24K gold embellishments, the vase is made using an artisan process that causes inevitable diversity from piece-to-piece.  No two are exactly the same!  Any imperfections should be considered an expression of the unique, hand-crafted character of this product.  Made of porcelain ceramic with 24K gold accents and included white metal stand.  Approximately 10″ tall.  Flowers not included.  Sold individually.
