Horn-o-graphic PHun!

They’re rare.  They’re mystical.  For crying out loud, they even poop rainbows! But, let’s be honest, we’re all painfully aware that unicorns are not “real.” Aren’t we?

Perk up, there’s still plenty to love about this classically horny critter.

PHun fact:  The lion and the unicorn are symbols of the British Empire.  The Queen’s royal grocer, Fortnam and Mason of London, painted this gorgeous, fun mural in one of their tearooms.

Isn’t it PHantastic?!

While it isn’t exactly a “real” encyclopedia either, the folks at Wikipedia report that that in Medieval times, unicorns were “symbols of purity and grace, which could only be captured by a virgin” . . .

(GASP! Do we even know any of those?!)

What’s more, the unicorn’s horn was said to have the power to “render poisoned water potable and to heal sickness.”

Whoa. Okay, PHine, *rolls eyes* but here at PHAG, our love of the unicorn transcends teatime and the pretension of perfectly appointed pinkies. We take a more colorful approach to these elegant equines of old. No unicorn in our PHantasy stable would ever take itself that seriously.

So in case Alice is unavailable to whisk you off to a Wonderland full of fantastical beasts, you might need a more practical way indulge your unicorn obsession. So, as always, we’re happy to oblige!

Keep your pencil sharp and perky!
