Did you ever wonder why orange and black are the iconic colors of the creepiest holiday of the year? PHun PHact: Orange signifies the autumn harvest and black is associated with darkness and death. Such a downer… right? We prefer to PHocus on all there is to celebrate during this hallowed time of year- so we’ve got nothing but love for you, October, no matter what you are wearing!
While the PHAG gnomes were researching this post, they did some digging and learned that the Halloween tradition was originally brought to North America by immigrants, yes we said immigrants, from Europe- now trump that! They celebrated the harvest around a bonfire, sharing ghost stories, singing, dancing, and telling fortunes. The way we see it, just throw in a few costume changes and it’s like spending a month in Vegas all in one night!
